CAMPBELL – MULLARKEY REMATCH THIS SATURDAY NIGHT IN ASTON, PA

Three plus years in the making, Dan Mullarkey looks to get even with Jamie Campbell this Friday night.

ASTON, PA (December 14, 2009)—This Saturday night at The Tri-States Sport Complex in Aston, PA a highly anticipated rematch that has been three years in the making will take place as Heavyweights, Jamie Campbell and Dan Mullarkey will square off in the four round main event of a big nine bout card that is promoted by Al Thompson’s Football Stories Inc.

It was on October 27th, 2006 when Campbell won a very highly competitive majority decision over Mullarkey in the very same ring at The Tri-State Sports Complex.

Mullarkey of Upper Darby, PA has record of 5-2-1 with his last ring appearance being that majority decision loss to Campbell.

Campbell of Ridley Park, PA has a record of 1-1 and like Mullarkey, Campbell was last seen in the ring defeating Mullarkey over three years ago.

There are eight outstanding bout on a packed undercard that will feature a six round Super Middleweight affair between Scott Sigmon and Ariel Espinal

Sigmon of Beford, VA has racked up a record of 7-1 with three knockouts and has racked up six consecutive victories with the most recent being a third round stoppage over Nicholas Schleichich (7-2) on August 29th in Lynchburg, VA. In his previous bout, Sigmon scored an impressive eight round unanimous decision over Toris Brewer (14-2) on April 11 in Lynchburg, VA. The only blemish that Sigmon has endured was a four round unanimous decision loss to the highly regarded Farah Ennis in June of 2008.

Espinal of Brooklyn, NY has a record of 6-11-3 with two knockouts has been matched extremely tough but is very capable of pulling off the upset.

In Espinal’s last ten bouts he is 0-9-1 but the combined record of those opponents is 56-9.

In 2007, Espinal scored the best win of his career when scored a four round stoppage over then undefeated Jimmy Campbell (10-0).

In Espinal’s last bout, he dropped a six round unanimous decision to Julius Kennedy (6-1) on November 5th in Cockeysville, MD

In a four round Super Middleweight bout, Gabriel Pham (2-0, 2 KO’s) of Atlantic City, NJ will take on Joe Njau (0-3) of Perth Amboy, NJ

In a four round Heavyweight bout, Glenn Turner (9-4-3, 2 KO’s) of Philadelphia will take on Jonathan Felton (6-20, 5 KO’s) of Stafford, VA

6’4” Middleweight, Derrick Webster (3-0, 2 KO’s) of Glassboro, NJ will take on the upset specialist Mustapha Johnson (6-6-1, 2 KO’s) of Indianapolis in a fight scheduled for four rounds

Undefeated Light Heavyweight, Lavarn “Baby Bowe” Harvell (4-0, 1KO) of Atlantic City, NJ battles Randy Campbell (2-0) of Bowerston, OH in a four round showdown of undefeated Light Heavies.

Former amateur star, Paul Koon makes his long awaited pro debut as he takes on Julius Jackson (3-5) of Cincinnati, OH in a four round Heavyweight bout.

Heavyweight Brandon Barrett (0-0-1) of Glassboro, NJ takes on James Rankin (0-3-1) in a four round rematch of their May 8th tussle

In a four round Welterweight bout, Juan Rodriguez (1-0, 1 KO) of Union City, NJ takes on Francisco Portillo (0-1) of West Virginia.
