Boxing in Paradise IV which was taped on September 26th 2009 from the UVI Sports and Fitness Center in beautiful St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
The main event saw Omri Lowther (12-1, 8 KO’s) win the WBA Fedecaribe Lightweight title with a seventh round over Juan Carlos Batista (18-1, 12 KO’s)
The card also chronicles the development of the Jackson Brothers.
John (3-0, 3 KO’s) and Julius Jackson (3-0, 2 KO’s) were 2008 Olympic representatives of their native Virgin Islands as well as being the son of former world champion, Julian “The Hawk” Jackson.

CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING FROM NICARAGUA-3/14/09
On March 14th, 2009 from the Alexis Arguello Gym in Managua, Nicaragua there was championship boxing as Santos Benevides (15-2-1, 13 KO’s) needed a 5th round knockdown to escape with a nine round split decision over Gonzalo Munguia (13-5-3, 10 KO’s) to capture the WBA Fedecentro Super Featherweight title.
The six round co-feature pitted Yadel Escobar (17-2, 12 KO’s) scoring a six round unanimous decision over twenty-three fight veteran Francisco Meza.
Also on the bill was undefeated Jr. Welterweight Cristian Ruiz (7-0, 6 KO’s), Bantamweight Rene Alvarado (5-0, 5 KO’s); Featherweight Miguel Aguilar (3-0, 2 KO’s); Jr. Flyweight William Trana (3-0, 1 KO)

Two big ten round co-features highlighted by Cristian Ruiz (10-0, 8 KO’s) winning a razor thin majority decision over Rossemberth Gomez (13-1, 9 KO’s)
In the lone title bout Yader Escobar (19-2, 13 KO’s) won the IBF Youth Minimumweight title with an exciting eighth round stoppage over Eddy Castro (12-4-1, 9 KO’s)
There was a wild Flyweight bout between world title challenger, Nerys Espinoza (25-5-1, 18 KO’s) and Marlon Pineda (7-8-1, 4 KO’s) have their fight end in a wild double disqualification in round six of their scheduled eight round bout.
Fans can also witness a “Can’t Miss” Prospect in eighteen year old prodigy Carlos Buitrago (11-0, 8 KO’s) score an awesome six round stoppage over Geovanny Rayo in a minimumweight bout.
