Tachi Palace Fights announces youth seminar

Lemoore, Calif. – Tachi Palace Fights will host a media day on Friday, January 8 to promote Tachi Palace Fights 3’s “Champions Collide” on February 4 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore .

The media day will feature a youth mixed martial arts seminar and a press conference.

The seminar will be held at the Santa Rosa Rancheria recreation center on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and is free to youth. The seminar will be led by instructors from the Team Ochoa fight team out of Lemoore and several fighters that are competing on the February 4 fight card.

In attendance for the seminar and press conference will be Orange County, Calif.’s Hector Ramirez (8-3-1), who is an Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran and coming off a stint as a coach on Spike TV’s hit show “The Ultimate Fighter”.

Ramirez will be joined by his opponent Coarsegold’s Anthony Ruiz (23-13), Fresno, Calif.’s Cole Escovedo (14-4), Duluth, Ga.’s Jeff Bedard (12-2), Fresno, Calif.’s Isaac De Jesus (8-1), Oakdale, Calif.’s Michael McDonald (8-1).

Also attending is Las Vegas, Nev.’s David Bollea, who is the nephew of professional wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan and Portland, Ore.’s Colt Toombs, who is the son of professional wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper.

The youth seminar is to help educate youth on alternative forms of fitness, to help inform youth about the sport of mixed martial arts and learn some basic techniques.

Following the hour and half seminar, a press conference will be held at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino’s wet bar located in the hotel at 6 p.m. The press conference is open to the public.

Fighters will address their bouts on February 4’s “Champions Collide” fight card, talk about their futures in Tachi Palace Fights and Tachi Palace Fights staff will discuss upcoming events.
