SATURDAY FEBRURAY 6TH—ADAMEK VS ESTRADA—8pm eastern
One of the most exciting fighters in the world, former Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek (39-1, 27 KO’s) makes his second start in the Heavyweight division after he dismantled former top contender Andrew Golota last fall in what was deemed the biggest sporting event in the history of Poland.
Adamek will battle former US Olympian Jason “Big Six” Estrada (16-2, 4 KO’s) of Providence, Rhode Island in the twelve round Main Event for the IBF International title.
A lot is on the line as Adamek has been rumored for a possible April 24 can’t miss showdown with the equally exciting Chris Arreola.
One thing stands in the way of that fight as Estrada is highly motivated and is more than capable to spring the upset in front of what will be rocking Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey where Adamek has become an overwhelming hometown favorite since moving to nearby Jersey City.
This will be Adamek’s fourth fight at “The Rock” with each crowd being bigger and louder than the previous fight and Saturday will look to be no exception as Adamek could only be a couple fights away before challenging for the Heavyweight championship of the world.
Estrada has big expectations coming out of the 2004 Olympics and this is a golden opportunity to throw his name in the middle of the wide open Heavyweight division.
There will be a five fight undercard that features undefeated and very popular middleweight prospect, Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin as he takes on perennial contender Fernando Zuniga.
Quillin of New York has a perfect record of 20-0 with fifteen knockouts and is eager to get back to action after an assortment of injuries have kept him out of the ring for the last sixteen months.
Quillin did not take the easy route back by agreeing to fight Zuniga.
Zuniga, who has a record of 28-9 with twenty knockouts, and been in with some of the biggest names of the middleweight divisions including William Joppy, Thomas Tate, Charles Brewer and Sam Soliman.
Just two fights ago, Zuniga scored an upset victory over than 19-1-2 Carlos Deleon. Zuniga just completed a six week tour as a main sparring partner for Bernard Hopkins as Hopkins prepared for his big fight with Enrique Ornelas.
If that isn’t enough, fans all over the world will be treated to an undercard of some of the best undefeated prospects in the country which include cruiserweight Patrick Farrell (4-0); Jr. Middleweight Dennis Douglin (6-0); Super Middleweight Patrick Majewski (11-0); and 2008 US Olympian Sadam Ali (4-0)

Alvarez, 20-2 with eleven knockouts will have the home ring advantage as he will be fighting in front of the hometown fans for the thirteenth time and he will be looking to get back in position to fight for a welterweight title.
