FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 3, 2010, Teamkattar.com is proud to announce that Calvin Kattar will now be fighting Don Carlo-Clauss on Feb 6th with the XCFL.

Calvin has been training with Mickey Ward, and two black belts 5 days a week at Extreme Fitness in Chelmsford, MA. We posted up some pictures of Calvin training with Mickey and you can hear his interview with Kenny Rooney at XCFL.

“Despite the rumors of Calvin Kattar being off XCFL’s debut event, he is fighting and his new opponent is Bombsquad fighter Don Carlo-Clauss. This has potential to be Calvin’s toughest fight to date as Carlo-Clauss is a more accomplished wrestler than Kattar, and he also has solid boxing.”*

Here is a clip of Carlo-Clauss fighting. :

“He may not be the biggest striker Calvin has fought, but Carlo-Clauss is most definitely the most technical boxer he’s faced, and he also fought the majority of his fights at 170, so he should be bigger than Kattar.”*

“Either way, I’m much more interested in this fight than I was the Taylor Solomon fight, and this is an upgrade to the card in my eyes. This one is dangerous for Calvin because Carlo-Clauss should be able to take him down, and he’s been training for Solomon, who is more of a banger than a technical boxer with strong wrestling. However, this is still Calvin Kattar we’re talking about, and he’s looked great in just about all of his fights, and he can knock most local guys in his weight class out. This should be a great fight, for sure.” *(thank you, Rick from northeastmma.net)

Tickets can still be purchased here up until Thursday Night: http://tinyurl.com/XCFL-Tickets

After Thursday night tickets can be purchased at the door. For More information about other fights on this card check out XCLF’s site here. http://www.xcflmma.com

Hope to see all of Calvin’s fans come out to support him in this tough fight. It should be a good night of fights.

Peace, Jimmy James jimmy@kattarmania.com
