Amateur Boxing Show at Gleason s Gym Saturday February 20th & NEW DATE For Hank Kaplan Archive Discussion With Mike Silver

The Master s Boxing Clinic starts this Thursday, February 18th. The clinic continues on Friday and concludes with an exciting Master Boxing Show on Saturday evening.

The weigh in starts at 4:00 PM and the first bout is at 6:00 PM.

Twenty-six masters have signed up for the clinic. We combined these with some local boxers and have matched eighteen (18) bouts.

The Master s is a category of amateur boxing for people 35 and older. They are registered and licensed to compete. USABoxingMetro sanctions the bouts.

The admission price is $20.00

My sincere apologies for anyone who may have arrived at Brooklyn College on Thursday February 11 to hear my talk in support of the Hank Kaplan Boxing Archive only to find that the program was canceled due to Wednesday’s severe snowstorm. The decision to cancel was make late Wednesday afternoon at the height of the storm. I am very sorry that many of you did not receive notice of the cancellation on time. The event has been rescheduled for Thursday February 18th at 4 p.m. I do hope to see you at this Thursday’s event. I promise to deliver a “knockout” presentation!
