RENO XTREME FIGHTS III – MARCH 19TH

Reno — The Grand Sierra Resort/Casino and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce “Reno Xtreme Fights III”, March 19th. Tickets are on sale.

This will be the third installment of the successful professional boxing/mma series and will feature top prospects. Boxers slated to fight on the card are Brandon “Flawless” Gonzales (10-0, 9 KOs), Karim “Hard Hitta” Mayfield (11-0, 7 KOs) and Omar Zalivdar (pro debut). Mixed martial Arts fighters currently slated are Reno’s own Rick “The Holy Terror” Reeves, Buddy Roberts, and Joshua Turner.

Gonzales, from Sacramento, CA, has made a splash in his last two appearances on Reno Xtreme Fights I and II by knocking out Victor Villereal and Dewey Welliver. He is making the step up to his first scheduled eight rounder for the evening’s feature boxing event. His opponent will be announced shortly.

Mayfield, a popular welterweight prospect from San Francisco, CA, is coming off of an impressive fifth round knockout over Francisco Santana last November in Oakland. He is looking to keep his undefeated status in a six round bout against Jason Davis (11-5, 3 KOs) from Vancouver, WA.

Zalvidar, from Reno, NV, will be making his pro debut on RXF III. He has already developed a following in Northern Nevada’s Hispanic community through his amateur career. With his stablemates Carlos Gaytan and Johnny Mancilla, Zalvidar continues a long tradition of Mexican and Mexican-American boxing in Reno.

Reeves (9-3) will be fighting in the feature MMA event on March 19th against his toughest foe yet in Derrick Burnsed from Northern California. Burnsed is undefeated in five fights. Reeves is coming off of a submission victory against Donnie Evenson last October.

Buddy Roberts returns to Reno Xtreme Fights after a dominating first round TKO over Alijah Reni in December. Roberts’ opponent is yet to be determined.

Reno Xtreme Fights is a boxing and mixed martial arts series of events between Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and Let’s Get it on Promotions. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the fight on Friday, March 19 with the first bout at 8 p.m. in the Grand Theatre. Tickets are $100, $75, $50 and $25.
