CALDWELL, N.J. (Mar. 16, 2010) – Grapplers Quest, “The World’s Largest Grappling Competition” is hosting the 5th Annual East Coast Submission Wrestling, Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships, also known as “The Beast of the East,” Saturday, March 20 at Caldwell College (9 Ryerson Avenue) in Caldwell, New Jersey

Grappling is the ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts and combines the throws of Olympic Judo, takedowns of Wrestling, Leg Locks from Sambo, and other Submissions from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu like arm bars, shoulder locks and chokes. Competitors of all ages and skill levels participate in the event, which is open to all grappling styles in order to determine the best grapplers in the World. Grapplers Quest has produced events for The Ultimate Fighting Championship, Mr. Olympia, and Europa Supershows, from Las Vegas to Europe.

The event will crown 225 of the Best Submission Grapplers in the World. The 4-Man Pro Challenge, starting at 1:00 PM/ET, features four of the top-ranked mixed martial arts and submission fighting superstars, including Ultimate Fighter Season 7’s Dante Rivera (Ricardo Almeida Black Belt), World Champion Rafael Lovato, Jr., Brazilian National Champion and, All-Star Pro Finalist, Derek Pichinich (Silverfox/Renzo Gracie), and The Jungle Gym’s Nolan Dutcher. There will be 2000 more action-packed matches. Tickets, priced at $15 in advance and $20 at the door, will be available on site.
