Finnish professional boxing stable Caramelito Promotions continues its busy and successful spring season. Estonian super middleweight boxer Anton Sjomkin (now 4-1, 3 KO) who recently joined in the stable was fighting against durable Russian Maxim Nikanorov over 4 rounds last weekend in a show which was promoted by Russian Jab Promotion and Estonian Energia Boxing Club. Sjomkin who won vacant Baltic Boxing Union International Super Middleweight title on his latest fight against previously unbeaten Sami Selesmaa (FIN) was now fighting his first pro fight as Caramelito Promotions boxer.
Although Nikanorov started to bleed from his nose already during the first round he was able to offer a tough challenge for hard-hitting Sjomkin. After the final bell Sjomkin, who was this time concentrating on body punches more than in his previous bouts, was announced as a clear winner by unanimous decision.
-Anton Sjomkin had good fight and it was very useful for him to get a bit more rounds at this point of his career. In future Sjomkin is willing to fight against anybody anywhere and of course we are open for any inquiries, says Markus Lammi who works as matchmaker and promoter for Caramelito Promotions.
Other Caramelito Promotions´ fighters; heavyweigh Janne “Finnish Butterbean” Katajisto and welterweight Roope Puumalainen will be fighting at Vaasa on the 11th April against Latvian opponents. Katajisto (4-0, 2 KO) who improved his BoxRec world ranking over 110 positions after his latest fight is scheduled for his first six rounder against Dmitrijs Basovs (3-4, 0 KO) and Puumalainen (2-0, 1 KO) is squaring off with Romans Skults (1-0-1, 1 KO).
After its April show Caramelito Promotions is planning to build 1-2 shows during summer season. For more information, please visit at http://www.caramelitopromotions.com/ .
