Frankie Edgar vs. Spencer Fisher

1st Round Frankie Edgar got two takedowns and dominated round.

2nd Round immediately Edgar gets takedown and is giving good g n’ p.

Another takedown for Edgar. Don’t think Fisher has landed a single strike except from the bottom. Edgar doing a great job of keeping Spencer down and dealing solid g n’ p. Spencer has a cut now over his left eye. Edgar moving to side control now has Spencer’s back. Spencer moved it back to gaurd.

3rd Round Spencer comes out with a flashy windmill type kick. But Frankie just catches the flashy but useless kick and puts him down. Now Frankie has Spencer’s back. Now both are on their feet. Frankie Edgar takes him down AGAIN. GEEZUZ….not doing a ton of damage but still killing on the point game. Standing up now Frankie going for takedown again and Spencer’s gets a warning about hoolding the fence but Edgar trips Fisher down again. Frankie “The Answer” Edgar is winning DOMINANTLY. I still haven’t seen Fisher land a shot except off his back. Spencer did just try for a triangle but to no avail.

Round ends with Edgar on top pounding him. Edgar dominated this fight with takedowns and ground and pound. Has to be unanimous decision…..and it is UNANIMOUS FOR FRANKIE EDGAR.

ED HERMAN VS. JOE DOERKSON
(Joe Doerkson is 39-10)
Round 1 – Herman gets a takedown. Herman lost to Doerkson about 3 years ago. We’ve got some new refs tonight I’ve never seen. Herman comes out with some GREAT striking from all kinds of angles. Elbows, punches, knees. Doerkson is cut pretty badly on the eyelid. (They just said a prelim fight was stopped due to a cut tonight) Herman laying some good ground and pound. Herman had a couple of good sprawls. Herman in full mount right now. Back to full gaurd. Herman still laying the g n’ p. Herman is imposing himself on Doerkson right now…won’t let him up or breathe much. Big elbow by Herman.

THEY WENT TO A SHOT OF SERRA ON THE BIG SCREEN AND THE CROWD ERUPTS IN APPLAUSE. NICE.

Round 2 – Herman comes in swinging. Herman pressing forward and gets a trip takedown on Joe. Alot seems to have changed in 3 years. Herman in Joe’s gaurd and Ed is landing good elbows and punches. Joe is allowing Ed to posture up and throw strikes. Ed trying to move to side mount. Ref stands them up. Joe has Ed’s back right now and looking for a kimora. Doerkson is looking for a rear naked. Now Ed has Joe’s back….wow Joe looking for a leg lock on Ed. Ed gets out. That was nice. Good stuff right here both guys trying for stuff back and forth. Ed laying some strikes from Joe’s back now. Joe rolls and gets Ed in gaurd now. Elbows from Ed. Triangle from Joe almost over but the bell sounds. Whewww…..close call right there. They said saved by the bell but I think he got out of it at the last second. One of Joe’s eyes looks bad. Maybe Ed got saved…it was close.

Round 3 – Ed Herman KNOCKS HIM THE FUCK OUT OH MY GOD THAT WAS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. OH SHIT OH SHIT. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS. Left hook to the chin. A big beautiful redemption win for Ed Herman. This could be fight of the night. Back and forth. Ed Herman’s striking has improved alot and really his overall game is improving. Damn….that was awesome guys.

THEY JUST SHOWED A AD FOR FORREST GRIFFIN APPEARING ON LAW AND ORDER THIS COMING WEEK. SHOWS FORREST PLAYING A MMA FIGHTER IN THE RING AND HIS GIRLFRIEND IS COCO Which is really IceT’s girlfriend who is also on the show. Looks like a good show.

KARO PARISYAN VS. RYO CHONAN

This could be an awesome fight.
Chonan comes out wearing a Pirahnna mask. He trains with Lindland and Henderson at team Quest. Sokodjui also trains there. Has a great camp…hope it helps him. My Follars are on Karo though. Karo walks out to Bad to the Bone lol…..oh meee.

Round 1 – Karo lands a left hook and gets a take down. Passes to half gaurd. Karo laying some g n’ p but Ryo throwing some blows back that you can hear. Karo still on top. Ryo doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ref stands them up. Both throwing bombs. Clinched up. Big takedown by Karo. Pushes Ryo up against the fence. Karo throwing elbows. Trading strikes. Karo catches Ryo’s kick and takes him down. Nice. Karo looking very good. You can really see Karo’s SKILL. He is SKILLFULL. That’s the best word I can use for him. Good round. No one suffered any real damage but I’m sure Karo won the round.

Round 2 – Randy Couture is in Karo’s corner and Joe and Goldberg never mention his name one single time. The camera is not even showing Randy but I heard his voice. Trading strikes now. Clinched against fence.

Chonan scores a punch and a good kick. Clinched again. Karo punches. Chonan lands a jab. Karo catches every leg kick Ryo throws and takes him down. AN INTERSTING NOTE HERE IS I GUESS HENDERSON IS IN CHONAN’S CORNER AND COUTURE IS IN KARO’S CORNER.

Clinched against fence. Karo gets the takedown. Good g n’ p by Karo. Good elbows from Karo. Good round for Karo keeping on the HEAT.

Round 3 – Josh Thompson I believe it is in Karo’s corner giving him good instruction on striking. Ryo will be looking for the finish now. Karo clinches. Clinched again. First small boos of the night came a few seconds ago from inaction but immediately ref seperates them. Karo takes Ryo down again. More g n’ p. Ryo rolls and now is on top. Scramble…both back up. Ryo lands a good knee to midsection. Trading jabs. Clinched again. Trading jabs again. Karo switches to southpaw at will. Spinning back fist from Karo connects barely. Clinched again agains cage. Elbow from Karo. Small boos. Fight goes to judges. I’m sure Karo wins. Karo give a little bow to the audience and Rogan says it looks like he’s bowing in sort of an apology for a boring fight. It wasn’t a total snooze but just a little lack luster. It was ok. UNANIMOUS DECISION FOR KARO. He’ll take that win. Wasn’t real pretty but got the W. Karo apologizes to his fans says he had some personal issues. Karo says he’ll try to look better next time. To Karo’s credit though, Ryo Chonan looked like a tough opponent and really didn’t give Karo alot to work with. It wasn’t that Karo was inactive very much. Like I said, in round one he looked really Skillfull but both of them slowed down a bit in the third.

Looks like Karo is sponsored by Assassins Creed video game. It’s on his shorts!!! How cool is that!!

HERE WE GO
HOUSTON ALEXANDER VS. THIAGO SILVA
Many questions will be answered right here.
Round 1 – I hate to see rising stars get pulled down. Everyone believes somewhere in that Cinderella Story. Houston has a ton of fans here.
oh shit.
Thiago tapped out!!
only joking.

Round 1 – Silva throws leg kick. Clinched. Houston is calm and patient. Waiting. Houston just picked him up and slammed him. Silva is on top. Houston is on his back so now we will see. Silva is mounted on Houston. Hoston taking some shots. That’s it. Houston gets pounded out. All questions answered….Brazilian Ju-Jitsu is still alive….it will still beat any superman punch out artist. Houston has no ground game. Houston actually got KO’d. Silva slices the throat for the camera. Houston is till wobbling at the declaration. So much for rising stars. That’s it and all the confirmation I needed. Houston was a fluke. He can sink all his time and training into BJJ and maybe come back but……..

Houston has heart and fire and personality and muscles and can punch but once he got on the ground it was over. This is why no one will come out from nowhere and dominate the UFC. It just won’t happen. If no one’s heard of you there’s a reason.

Thiago Silva was very classy in winning and he said that Houston is a hero to me because he is a single father of six children and takes care of them. He said could everyone give him a round of applause please. Very classy.

I heard Affliction sponsored Houston…gave him his own shirt even…….damn.

I just realized that Thiago Silva has knocked out 10 of his last 12 opponents and he’s undefeated. Whew…..The light-heavyweight division is so freakin stacked.

RASHAD EVANS VS. MICHAEL BISPING
Bisping has said if he loses tonight, he may drop down in weight. That doesn’t sound too confident.

All new referees tonight. I had never seen a single one of them. Wonder what’s up with that. I think this is the FIRST UFC MAYBE THAT I HAVEN’T SEEN BIG JOHN. No Herb Dean…no Mazzigatti??? WTF?

Round 1 – Bisping actually got quite a few boos. Kind of weird. Good stare down. Bisping looks a bit nervous. He knows this is the big boys. Evans lands a right hand. Clinched against the fence. Rashad looking for the takedown. Finally gets him down. But Bisping wasn’t quite down actually back up and still clinched. USA chants from the crowd. Rashad still looking for takedown. Ref breaks them up. Rashad throws combos then looks for the takedown. Crowd getting restless ha ha ha. Bisping doing good job of avoiding takedown. Rashad lands a right. Rashad finally gets a takedown. Rashad popped him pretty good. Rashad has side control. Bisping gets up though. Clinched again. Bisping had a muay thai clinch for about a second. Rashad gets a takedown though. Side control by Rashad. Elbow by Evans. Bisping really squirming to get up but Rashad still controlling. Round over with RAshad on top. No real damage by either fighter though I’m sure Rashad won the round.

Round 2 – Bisping breathing hard in the corner. Bisping comes out fast and Rashad lands a big right. Picks Bisping up high kaboom slam. Nice. Rashad in Bisping’s open gaurd…closed gaurd. Bisping holding on to Evans good. Rashad postures up but Bisping controlling Evan’s wrist. Ref stands them up. Bispng lands a couple of good jabs. Bisping looks a bit fresher. Evans mouth is open. Bisping using some Muay Thai clinch I’ve never seen him use. They traded some jabs and strikes clinched again. Rashad lands a good right. Bisping goes for a takedown and gets it at the buzzer. Hmmmmmm………very close round….have no idea who won that.

Round 3 – Bisping is not sitting down in between rounds. Rashad looks tired and breathing hard. Bisping looks fine. I’ve noticed that Rashad uses a lot of energuy just dancing. Alot of energy in my opinion that is basically wasted. Bisping snaping some nice punches. Rashad goes for takedown and finally gets it. Rashad postures up and Bisping scoots back to try and get up. Turns it over and has Rashad’s back now. Lost it. Clinched standing. Trading punches. Rashad lands a hook. Good combo by Evans. Evans goes for the takedown and has him with his back against the cage. They’re back up body kick Bisping. Combo from Rashad. Rashad is winning by points for sure in this round. 40 seconds left. Slug fest is coming. Going to the judges. Pretty damn good battle. Both these guys are tough no doubt about it. Quinton was giving Bisping some pointers in between rounds. No real big damage by either fighter but I do believe Rashad won it.

Dana came up and told Rashad great fight. Rashad and Bisping hug and congratulate each other. Dana tells Bisping great fight too.

Rashad is wearing an Assassin’s Creed hat. Hmm. Have I mentioned that’s a great damn game!! Rashad even mentioned the game in his thank you’s!! LOL.

Good grief….Bisping said he thought he won the fight. Geez….this guy man….whaddaya gonna do?

SPLIT DECISION FOR SUGAR RASHAD EVANS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS SUGAR RASHAD AND MOVES TO 16-0-1

STILL UNBEATEN.

BONUS FIGHT::::

JOE LAUZON VS. JASON REINHARDT
First of all Reinhardt walks out to some god awful country redneck music. There’s good country (Cash) then there’s god awful country….this was awful.

1st round – Reinhardt is five foot six. Geez….that’s short. Reinhardt is also 38 years old making his UFC debut. J-Lau gets the takedown quickly. Passes gaurd. Goes north south. Joe is looking sharp and has B.J. in his corner. Joe flips around faster than a bullet for rear naked choke and wins.

THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MAIN EVENT!!!

J-LAU IS MY HERO!! Love that guy man. Super fast just like we all know he can do. Reinhardt looked like he went to sleep then he taps. Not even a sweat. Wooooweee Joe training in Hawaii with B.J. look out baby this guy is mr. amazing. A phukkin superhero IMO.

Bet that’s the last time we see J-Lau on the undercard. Joe is now training full time for the first time in his life he’s always either had a job too or school but no more. Joe goes and celebrates with Penn outside the ring.

Joe didn’t even get the submission of the night it was an armbar by Gono against Tandem McCrory. Though Rogan said he protested and said Lauzon should have got it. I think Gono got it because it was a very nasty looking armbar that twisted it all funky up behind the dude…..nasty. But Joe’s looked more impressive and explosive for sure.
