FLOYD MAYWEATHER TO HOLD NEW TWITTER SCAVENGER HUNT THIS SUNDAY, JULY 11
Las Vegas, NV (July 9, 2010) Floyd “Money” Mayweather will hold another Twitter scavenger hunt this Sunday at 6 p.m. PT, with contest details to be revealed on his Twitter account (@floydmayweather). Fans can once again participate for a chance to win various items. Mayweather held a Twitter scavenger hunt contest earlier in the week, which drew over 1,000 contestants, with one grand prize winner receiving an all expense paid 1-night stay in Las Vegas along with a chance to meet Mayweather himself.
The 10 steps for the previous contest included following John Shahidi (@john), who is the host of the Twitter contest, changing their Twitter profile picture to an image of Floyd and voting for the Floyd Mayweather Foundation Charity through the Chase Community Giving program through Facebook.
Mayweather is looking to win his own contest on Facebook for his Floyd Mayweather Foundation. The contest gives Facebook users a chance to vote for their favorite charities. The contest ends this Monday, July 12, as the top 200 organizations in the voting will divide $5 million in contribution, with one charity to receive $250,000, four to receive $100,000, and 195 to receive $20,000.
Prior to the first Twitter contest, Mayweather’s Foundation was in the top 400. The contest helped put Mayweather’s Foundation in the top 120.
“I still need my fans to continue to show their support and help move my Foundation up in the voting. Top 120 is not good enough,” said Mayweather boxing superstar and Founder of the Floyd Mayweather Foundation.
