TUF FINAL SHOW BEFORE THE FINALE RECAP

Getting ready for the Finale.
It looks like one of the four finalists is going to walk off the show for some reason. What kind of good reason would make someone give up their dream on the last week after they’ve been there all this time, gone through all this, what could possibly make someone give it up? We’ll find out soon….
The 4 Finalists are:
Mac
George
Matt
Tommy
Matt Arroyo seems to have hurt a rib. Looks like it may be cracked as well. He’s talking about he’s not sure if he’s going to fight or not. I don’t see how it’s even his decision at this point. I thought if there was a medical issue, automatically they were out. Hmmmm.
Ok so they hyped this “walk out” thing up way more than it really was if that was it. The guy had a freaking cracked rib. You can’t roll around and swing for the fences with a cracked rib. I don’t think Dana really understood (or maybe he knew more than we did) that it was cracked.
Anyway the guy chose not to fight. They would have let him fight so I guess the rib couldn’t have been too bad. Anyway, Matt Arroyo is OUT of the finals and so they brought a few guys in to see who was “enthusiastic” about fighting Mac Danzig and moving into the finals as an alternate.
First they ask War Machine…..and he was not wanting to fight Mac
Then they ask Ritchie and he said the right words but you could tell he did not really want that fight either
Then walks in John Kolosci and he was very enthusiastic about wanting to redeem himself and he took the fight. Incidently it was Mac Danzig who beat him the last time to put him out of contention but as fate would have it, they have a rematch. John Kolosci has a pro record of 8-4. Though he has more fights than some of the guys in the house he still is not nearly as experienced as Mac and I don’t really see him being able to take Mac but hopefully he will make a better showing this time around. I give the guy a ton of credit for wanting to take the fight. He’s fought Mac. He knows he’s only human unlike some of the other guys who may look at Mac as “unbeatable.” Danzig’s record officially is 17-4-1
So here’s their fight:
Mac Danzig vs. John Kolosci
Round 1: John comes out with a good leg kick. Another good leg kick. Throws a high kick but falls. Mac is taking his time waiting for a mistake. John starts throwing a jab. Mac throws a leg kick. Mac is constantly moving looks like he could be more explosive. Waiting to explode is more like it. Clinched. Both throw some knees. Mac gets a takedown. John looking for a kimora. Mac keeps hitting John in the back of the head. Mac gets a pretty easy rear naked choke. Fast and John offers no defense to it.
Mac sheds a few tears after the match and he moves to the finals. Mac Danzig will be the next ULTIMATE FIGHTER. No doubt about it in my mind. This is a great showcase for him for people to get to know him and it’s a proven formula how the UFC is building stars. Mac says he’s been doing this a long time and there were times he thought about just quitting but now he’s so glad he stuck with it cause this is his chance. He finally gets to fight at the Big Show and most probably is going to win it. He could be a real force in the UFC welterweight division also. I could see him having to fight one these coaches for a title one day possibly or George St. Pierre. Good stuff. The new breeds continue to emerge.
I’m sorry. I just got too excited after seeing Mac rip it up again. I’m not giving enough credit to Tommy Speers and George. Both of these guys also have a good chance at winning.
This fight may be the best fight of the show besides the final. I think these guys match up well and should be exciting. George is no joke and neither is Tommy. Tommy is strong as an ox and can end the fight in one punch if he connects.
Next semi-final fight
Tommy Speers 9-1 vs. George Sotiropolous 7-2
Round 1: The ref kept telling Tommy to watch the fingers and sure enough Tommy poked him right in the eye. Ref had to call time. George lands a good shot to the face. Tommy lands a good one. Both exchange blows. George staying in the pocket. Tommy drops George just like I said he could. Knocks George out. Big right hand drops him then lands a couple for good measure and George goes out.
I’m gonna tell you something right now…….
Don’t you dare make the mistake of counting Tommy Speers out against Mac Danzig. I told you last week that Tommy Speers is a tough s.o.b. and I was just saying he could drop a guy if he connects and he connected.
I have suddenly become very excited about the FINAL MATCH between Mac Danzig and Tommy Speers because I have no idea who will win.
I am looking more forward to this fight than any other fight in Ultimate Fighter history. That is no joke. Damn damn damn. Saturday’s card has just turned into one hell of an event.
I don’t even know who I want to win. I like both of these guys alot. For once I can just sit back and enjoy a great battle and I have a feeling we might see two contracts handed out.
This turned out to be a GREAT Ultimate Fighter. Loved it.
Very Ironic that Matt Hughes’ team started out badly and then ended up winning the whole thing because both guys in the fnals are from Team Hughes.
