SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST:
DIVICTORIA STOPS SHMOUEL IN SIXTH ROUND IN THE ?PHILLY FIGHT OF THE YEAR?

Philadelphia (December 7th, 2007)?In the final bout in Philadelphia for the 2007 year, Lenny DiVictoria stopped Elad Shmouel at 2:22 of round six of their scheduled six round brawl in what was undoubtedly the Fight Of The Year in the city of Brotherly Love at The Legendary Blue Horizon

Ironically it was Shmouel who had the the advantage early as he used solid body work in round one and then coupled the body assault with a follow up right hand to drop DiVictoria in the second round. DiVictoria was hurt but came back to regain his senses to batter and bloody Shmouel over the next two rounds.

By no means did DiVictoria have his way in those rounds as he and Shmouel stood no more then a few inches apart and bombed away with thudding body shots and vicious head blows that kept the near capacity crowd at the Blue on the edge of their seats.

While Shmouel received a nice ovation at the outset, when the fight turned in rounds three and four, it was loud chants of ?LENNY, LENNY LENNY? that urged DiVictoria on.

Shmouel came back to have a solid round five as he landed blistering combinations that started at the body and landed on the head. In round six, DiVictoria landed a body shot that sent Shmouel down to the canvas. Shmouel, bloodied from his nostril valiantly showed heart and determination by fighting back only to take one more body punch that sent him to all fours to the canvas and referee Shawn Clark waved the bout off at 2:22 of round six.

POST FIGHT QUOTES

LENNY DIVICTORIA-?I been hit like that before. It?s nothing new. I took boxing for Granted, I wasn?t living the professional life like I should have been.

ON THE KNOCKDOWN??He hit me with a nice shot that I didn?t see?.

I don?t need the rematch. I beat him already. I had to prove to myself and my family and I did this for my family.

ELAD SHMOUEL-I did my best and he was the better man today?I was a bit careless after the knockdown and then he caught me,

That instant classic topped off a night of action that saw Jules Blackwell score a unanimous decision over Paul Fernandez in a battle of undefeated Featherweights and ladies sensation Olivia Fonseca battle Michelle Linden to a draw,
