DALLAS (August 20, 2010) In this week’s premiere of “The Voice vs. Tito Ortiz,” MMA’s controversial bad boy, UFC star Tito Ortiz, goes head-to-head in a humorous and soul-searching interview with the sport’s most colorful television personality, Michael Schiavello. The program is set to air TONIGHT at 10:00 p.m. ET on HDNet.
Anticipation for the episode, the third in “The Voice Vs.” series, hit a fevered peak earlier this week when HDNet released this two-minute preview clip from the show:

In this one hour special, Schiavello quizzes Ortiz on a number of topics including his relationship with adult film star Jenna Jameson; an intense history with UFC President Dana White; his thoughts on his peers and former opponents including Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes; his recovery from a neck injury; fantasy opponents including Fedor Emelianenko and more.
“Love him or hate him, and the line is quite clearly divided, you’re going to want to hear what Tito has to say,” says HDNet Fights CEO, Andrew Simon. “You put someone like Tito in the same room as someone like Schiavello and you’re going to get great TV. There’s plenty of humor mixed in with the hard-hitting stuff, along with the sort of unique questions other interviewers don’t ask.”
Acclaimed by industry critics, “The Voice Vs.” series has been described as “phenomenal” by leading website MMAWeekly and this Friday night’s installment is no exception.
Michael Schiavello, known as “The Voice,” is one of the world’s leading combat sport broadcasters thanks to his trademark mix of entertaining one-liners and unparalleled understanding of MMA. Schiavello currently serves as the global voice of K-1, K-1 MAX, DREAM, and Mark Burnett’s The Contender Asia.
