ACTION PACKED CARD SET FOR SATURDAY IN FALLON, NV

August 25th, 2010 RENO – The fight card is set for the third annual Rural Rumble. This sensational event is presented by the City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions.

USBA light-heavyeight champion, Otis “Triple OG” Griffin, returns to Northern Nevada since his loss to Jesse Brinkley in February 2008. Griffin, world ranked #10 by the IBF and #11 by the WBA, headlines in an eight round bout against the tough and game Billy Bailey(10-9, 4 KOs).

Middleweight prospect Brandon “Flawless” Gonzales (12-0, 9 KOs) faces a tough foe in Byron “The Truth” Tyson (9-1, 4 KOs) from Los Angeles. This will be Gonzales’ first fight with new trainer Jeff Mayweather, uncle of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather has a stellar resume as a trainer, working with a number of high profile boxers.

Fan favorite lightweight, “Lighning” Lonnie Smith (10-2-2, 8 KOs) takes a big step up in competition as he faces off against Lowell Brownfield (11-5, 4 KOs). Brownfield has never been stopped in his five losses. His chin will provide a test for Smith’s power and aggressive style.

The card will also feature four exciting professional MMA fights. The fights will take place under the open Nevada sky at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. All bouts are subject to change.
