Friday night at the sold out Rollins Center in the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, in Dover Delaware, Jose Angel “Silver Boy” Rodriquez (15-2-1, 2KO’s) will challenge fellow southpaw Russell “Spiderman” Jordan (15-7, 10KO’s) in a twelve round main event for the IBF North American middleweight belt. Rodriquez, who is coming off coming off a hard fought loss to middleweight contender Lajuan Simon (23-2-1, 12KO’s) knows the importance of a victory over Jordan would be to his career. “I am in great shape” said Rodriquez “I think this a historical bout for me and will cement my family legacy and I must get by Jordan to keep me on my path toward a possible world title shot.”
Jordan is a tall southpaw at 6′ 2″ with power in both hands and will provide a difficult problem for the 5’11″ Rodriquez.

“I learned a lot from my bout with Simon which will help in this bout, said Rodriquez. “My boxing ability has increased exponentially. I have been working with taller and heavier fighters in my sparring so I will be ready for anything he will bring to the table. Hopefully a win against Jordan will get me a rematch with Simon, since I will have the North American belt.”

“The victory on Friday night should put me in the rankings and within a year I plan to do my best to unify the world title bouts, provided the champs will fight me.”

“I promise that this will be an exciting fight that you won’t want to miss, said Rodriquez.”
