‘The Boxing 360 Series’ Kicks-Off Friday night on Long Island

NEW YORK (Sept. 21, 2010) – “The Boxing 360 Series,” presented by Bob Duffy’s Ring Promotions and sponsored by Boxing 360, kicks-off Friday night at Plattduetsche Park Restaurant in Franklin Square, New York.

The originally scheduled main event for Friday evening’s inaugural series show between undefeated Boxing 360 super middleweight Lennox “2 Sharpe” Allen (12-0-1, 7 KOs), the Guyanese champion now living in Brooklyn, and unbeaten Nick Brinson (7-0-1, 5 KOs), of Geneva (NY), has been postponed due to a death in Allen’s family.

“Lennox’ brother recently passed on and, of course, Allen is unable to fight on this card,” Boxing 360 Director of Boxing Bob Duffy said. “The fight has been postponed until the second ‘The Boxing 360 Series’ show in early November.”

Unbeaten N.Y. State Light Heavyweight Champion Ronson Frank (15-0, 7 KOs), fighting out of Rosedale (NY) by way of Guyana, takes on Tony Ferrante (9-1, 4 KOs), of N. Philadelphia, slated as the original co-feature is moves up to be the new 8-round main event. Ronson is the younger brother of former world NBA super middleweight champion, Steven Frank, and former world title challenger, Raul Frank.

Undefeated Harlem light welterweight prospect — by way of Burkina Faso — Issouf Kinda (8-0, 5 KOs) meets Noel Garcia (2-5-1) in the 6-round co-feature.

Providence cruiserweight Joshua Harris (6-3-1, 5 KOs), who just returned from Poland where he served as a sparring partner for WBC champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, faces Kamareh Pasley (5-4, 2 KOs) in a 6-rounder.

Also fighting on the undercard in 4-rounders is Newark light middleweight Thomas Baldwin (1-0-1) vs. Pawtucket (RI) high school senior Rameil Shelton (0-1), Georgia junior welterweight “Irish” Arthur Bridges (1-0, 1 KO) vs. Manhattan’s Jonathan “Lil’ Big Man” Cuba (3-2, 2 KOs), and hometown favorite Mike Brooks (1-0, 1 KO), from nearby Freeport, vs. lightweight Calvin Pritchard (0-1). All fights and fighters are subject to change.
