FEATURING SULEYMANOV VS. GALLO: NABO CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT

GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA (October 1, 2010) – Undefeated Bantamweight Khabir “The Crazy Russian” Suleymanov (10-0, 4KOs), looks to continue his ascent in the Bantamweight division when he takes on, Javier “El Girito” Gallo (17-1-1, 9KOs), for the Vacant NABO Bantamweight Title. The 10 round Main Event will headline GLENDALE GLORY 3 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium on Friday, October 22, 2010.

GLENDALE GLORY, the exciting and increasingly popular boxing series promoted by Art of Boxing Promotions in association with Bash Boxing, will return with another pro boxing card filled with great matchmaking and world class fights. The last Glendale Glory show featured a sold out crowd and “Fight Of The Year Candidate when Roman “Made in Hell” Karmazin rose off the canvas from a devastating knockdown to knock out Dionosio “Mr. Knockout” Miranda on the season premiere of ESPN’s “Friday Night Fights” series. A celebrity crowd including Heavyweight contenders James Toney, Lamon Brewster, and Audley Harrison, Middleweight contender Sergio Mora, unbeaten Super Welterweight contender Vanes Martirosyan, former world champions Wayne McCullough, Terry Norris, and Vince Phillips, female fighter Mia St. John, boxing manager Jackie Kallen, actors Charles Dutton and Cedric the Entertainer, and singer Brian McKnight took in the action from ringside.

Suleymanov, originally from Chelyabinsk, Russia, now living in Hollywood, California and training out of Freddie Roach’s Wildcard Boxing Club, won the New York Golden Gloves as an amateur and has yet to taste defeat as a pro. Gallo, originally from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico and now living in Buena Park, California, has had standout amateur (15-1) and pro (17-1-1) careers and is the #13 ranked fighter in the NABO. Both fighters had signed to face then, NABO Champion Chris Avalos, before Avalos lost his title to Christopher Martin on Shobox last month. The NABO title was then ruled vacant because Martin failed to make the requisite weight for the title.

The GLENDALE GLORY 3 undercard will feature several well-regarded local fighters including Cruiserweight veteran of The Contender reality show, Deon “The Natural” Elam (12-1), Glendale Glory veteran Anatoliy “The Dragon Man” Dudchenko (9-2), East L.A. welterweight Aaron Martinez (13-1-1), undefeated Huntington Park Featherweight Jesus “El Pollo Hernandez (8-0-2), and the pro debut of Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson. Lawson’s debut fight will mark the first female fight in Glendale, California history.

Tickets to GLENDALE GLORY 3 can be purchased online by going to www.glendaleglory.com or by calling the GLENDALE GLORY hotline at (626) 388-8888. GLENDALE GLORY 3 takes place on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. Doors Open at 7:00 pm, First Bout is at 8:00 pm. Tickets start at $50.
