The Title for the book is Comeback: A Wrestlers Story of Triumph and Tragedy by Dick Bouzakis
The story will warm your heart with a humorous account of the life and times of a head injured man. Life is tough for everyone. Consider damage to the brain in the area where you can walk, talk, or move. One day you’re on top wrestling world as a competitor and 2 months later you wake up in a new body.
After suffering from a concussion Richard has Continued with life, never quitting and never accepting the alternative. Comeback: A Wrestlers Story of Triumph and Tragedy is a story how he made it through life by exposing inner secrets and proving anyone with drive and persistence can do anything that a human mind can imagine.
The book comes complete with documents from notables like Mario Cuomo, Dan Gable, Ed and Lou Banach, and others. You’ll enjoy Richard’s complete New York State Wrestling History as well.
Richard is a college educated accident victim, supremely qualified to know how it feels to be in a coma, wake up, and go through life with a disability. Richard woke one day after 2 months of a supposed long term coma and went on to continued goals. He writes about the agitation and frustration that gripped him while he fought the coma’s forces through school and to his day’s at the Fortune 1000 company where he worked then continuing home for physical therapy.
Richard’s book Comeback: A Wrestlers Story of Triumph and Tragedy is written for all readers wanting to read a heart- warming story of personal triumph with notable liaisons. His story surely will resonate in the highschool and college wrestling communities. He talks about his brother who was arguably one of the best wrestlers to ever compete in NYS.
Head injuries are just now becoming “OK” to talk about. Richards story may be an extreme to some but it is more real than you can ever know. You need to know a story, a real story that you can relate to.
Richard writes: This is the first book to my knowledge written by a coma survivor documenting progress through rehabilitation and working with a disability. I have spoken for Mother Against Drunk Driving in Dallas and for Victim Impact Panel at ADAC of Orange County.

Current Super-Middleweight Titlist Andre Ward on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights’ Season Finale; Andrade-Brewer Featured in Main Event
Posted on | August 17, 2011 | No Comments
August 17, 2011
ESPN’s Friday Night Fights presented by Corona Extra, will close out the 2011 season from Hammond, Ind. on August 19 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN3.com when undefeated junior middleweight Demetrius Andrade (13-0, 9 KOs) and Grady “Bad Boy” Brewer (28-12, 16 KOs) meet in the 10-round main event. The card is presented by Banner Promotions/HITZ Boxing.
Joe Tessitore and Andre Ward, Ring Magazine’s No.1 ranked super-middleweight, will be ringside at the Horseshoe Casino describing the action, while studio host Brian Kenny will present the latest boxing news. Ward, a 2004 Olympic Gold medalist, who will meet Carl Froch in the Super Six World Boxing Classic in late October, is sitting in for Teddy Atlas who is in Russia training Alexander Povetkin.
Andrade, a 2008 U.S. Olympian from Providence RI., is coming off a second-round knockout win over Omar Bell. After the fight ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael wrote, “It was business as usual as he (Andrade) dominated the first round and then ended it in the second. He caught Bell with a left hand to the body and Bell went down. Although he didn’t look too hurt, Bell got to a knee and took the full count from the referee at 1 minute, 31 seconds.”
Lawton Okla.’s Brewer, 2006 winner of The Contender, is coming off a June fourth-round TKO win over previously undefeated Fernando Guerrero.
After the fight Rafael wrote, “Brewer took care of another highly touted youngster in shocking fashion. He pounded Guerrero with clean right hands and uppercuts, finally sending him falling through the ropes onto the ring apron for a knockdown. Guerrero made it to his feet, but he was done. As soon as the fight resumed, Brewer was all over him again. He continued to pound him with body shots and uppercuts until Guerrero finally slumped forward and fell to the mat. A stunning finish that ranks up there with any of the biggest upsets of the year.”
Friday’s card will also feature former lightweight titlist David Diaz (36-3-1, 17 KOs) and “Hammerin’ ” Hank Lundy (20-1-1, 10KOs) in the 10-round co-feature. Chicago’s Diaz, is coming off a 10-round majority decision win over Rob Frankel, while Philadelphia’s Lundy is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision win over Patrick Lopez.

Mr. Hollywood Shannon Rose Gives Away Money For Birthday
Posted on | August 17, 2011 | No Comments
(Tampa, FL) – Usually on birthdays you give a present to the person celebrating the birthday, but this year Hollywood Reporter “Mr. Hollywood” Shannon Rose wants to give back to his fans for his birthday. He will do so by offering a video contest which the winner will win $100.00.
For more information about the contest including all the rules visit his official Facebook Fanpage at http://facebook.com/
This contest is a mock up from the old WWE days, where “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase claimed “everyone had a price”. To celebrate his birthday, and his work as a professional Wrestling Ring Announcer, Shannon takes this gaff from DiBiase and places it in his contest.
He wants to see what people will do for the money, because “Everyone has their price”.
The contest states that every entry tells him why they deserve the $100.00 prize. They do so in a video where they beg, plead, kiss up, persuade, put on a show or do whatever they have to in order to convince him to declare them the winner.
This two week contest ends at midnight on August 27th, and the winner is announced on August 29th, the day after Rose’s Birthday.
Applicants must be 18 years old, and upload their video to Rose’s Facebook wall or post it on YouTube and paste the link on his Facebook wall. Five Judges will determine the winner based on creativity and the ability to make them laugh yet still convince them why they deserve the money.
“My character “Mr. Hollywood” is over the top in the ring, yet he’s one of the most accurate and called upon as a Hollywood Reporter. I want these videos to match that and bring a smile to my face for my birthday, which is the best birthday gift anyone can give” says Rose.
Rose hopes this contest helps everyone celebrate his birthday from coast to coast. “Mr. Hollywood” continues to entertain the masses, and he hopes that they can entertain him.
