WITTER WANTS HATTON FIGHT SO BAD HE’LL DO IT FOR “PEANUTS”

I’ll fight Hatton for ‘peanuts’ – Witter

Exclusive By Simon Parker

Junior Witter today declared he would willingly take Ricky Hatton’s “peanuts” offer for a May showdown in Manchester.

Bradford’s WBC light-welterweight world champion hit back after claims that he had rejected the chance to face the Hitman for £100,000.

Hatton’s manager, dad Ray Hatton, said yesterday they had offered Witter “the highest purse he’d ever had”. But it had been turned down and the cash was no longer on the table.

But Witter is furious and wants to pin down his deadly rival after years of ducking and diving – saying the fight is his only motivation not the wealth.

“This is not about the money – it’s personal,” he blasted. “The pay-day is not even close to what I was getting for going out to America.

“I would have got well over twice as much to fight Demetrius Hopkins over there. But I’m prepared to take it just to knock Hatton out for his cheek.

“It might be all about greed with some people but not me. If that’s what they think I’m worth then fine I’ll take it just for the chance to finally put Hatton into retirement.”

Hatton is expected to face Texan Juan Lazcano in his comeback fight after losing to Floyd Mayweather in December.

Lazcano has been out of action for a year since a defeat against Vivian Harris, who Witter viciously KO’ed in seven devastating rounds five months ago.

Ray Hatton claims a “gentleman’s agreement” is in place although Witter’s promoter Mick Hennessy understood Lazcano had not signed his contract.

Hennessy said: “I spoke to Golden Boy Promotions in the early hours today and they told me that the Lazcano deal was not done yet.

“So my understanding is there is no contract signed between the two; the venue is not sorted as of today; HBO (American TV giants) have not confirmed they are covering it and it’s not the fight the paying public want to see – which is Witter v Hatton.

“Junior is happy to jump in and take up their peanuts offer because he isn’t greedy.”

Hennessy claimed Hatton’s lawyer Gareth Williams had said that if the fight did ever come off, Witter “would not get a penny over £100,000 because that is all he is worth.”

Witter’s manager John Ingle spoke to both Williams and Ray Hatton today.

Williams confirmed that the offer mentioned was for May 24 but Hatton said it was never for that date.

“Maybe Floyd Mayweather hit Ricky Hatton that hard even his dad and lawyer are confused,” laughed Witter, who is currently warm-weather training in Gran Canaria.

Witter was due to defend his title in California next month against Hopkins but that fell through after the American pulled out for no apparent reason.

Now he is desperate to take out his frustration on the man he has been stalking throughout his career.

Ingle said: “I can understand their reluctance to take the fight because (trainer) Billy Graham’s record against us in major contests isn’t very good.

“Alan Bosworth beat Matthew Hatton, Johnny Nelson finished off Carl Thompson’s reign as champion and Andrew Facey took Matthew Macklin’s unbeaten record.

“The only major win Billy has got over us was Ricky Hatton against Jon Thaxton. But Thaxton has proved since then that he’s not a real light-welter by going back to lightweight.

“Ray Hatton says they are tied up for the next 12 months with a deal with HBO, who’ve got a list of opponents. But how can Junior not be on that list?

“We’ve been told that he is and that’s the fight that HBO want to see. It’s a travesty if it doesn’t happen.”

ROSELAND BALLROOM BOXING PACKS SOME PUNCH

Santos Holds Kirilov To A Draw; Salita, Teron Score Knockouts At The Roseland Ballroom!

By Matt Yanofsky

In front of a packed house at the Roseland Ballroom, IBF super flyweight champion Dimitri Kirilov 29-3-1 (9 KO’s) was surprisingly held to a draw by unheralded Mexican contender Cecilio Santos 22-8-3 (12 KO’s). The aggressive Santos landed most of the telling blows during the first five rounds. Kirilov, who has a striking resemblance to former super middleweight champion Sven Ottke, had an excellent sixth round where he was able to land many quick punches to the head of Santos.

After a close 7th and 8th round, Kirilov opened up a cut over Santos left eye with a straight right hand which made the challenger temporarily retreat from his attack. Kirilov went back to work in the tenth, reopening the cut while Santos threw many wild punches in attempt to keep the champion away. In the 11th, Kirilov had his best round of the fight where he landed almost at will and had excellent head movement to avoid the severely bloodied Santos’ shots. The twelfth and final round turned out to be the best of the fight as both men ended the contest by trading shots. Judge Robert Gibson scored the bout 116-112 Kirilov, but was overruled by judges Kevin Morgan, and John Epstein who both scored the bout 114-114. I also also scored the contest a draw.

“I wasn’t pleased with Dimitri tonight. I’ve never seen him get hit so much before and I honestly can’t argue the fight being ruled a draw”, said his world class trainer Freddie Roach who also trains superstars Bernard Hopkins and Manny Pacquiao.

In his first bout in almost a year, Dmitriy “Star Of David” Salita improved to 28-0-1 (16 KO’s) with a fifth round destruction of Mexican Fabian Luque 21-7-4 (12 KO’s). Salita went to work quickly and sent Luque to the canvas in the first round with a straight right hand just seconds before the bell rang. Salita then used an excellent jab in the second and third rounds, while making his opponent look foolish by missing wild shots. Salita dropped Luque with a jab in the fourth round although Luque appeared to slip. Salita was penalized one point later in the round for a low blow. The Brooklyn native closed the show in the fifth by dropping the smiling Luque then landing a few more shots as he rose from the knockdown forcing referee Benji Esteves to stop the contest 45 seconds into the round.

Bronx lightweight Jorge Teron 20-0-1 (13 KO’s) once again proved to be one of New York’s most improved fighters by scoring an impressive 5th round stoppage of Sandro Marcos 27-17-2 (23 KO’s). Teron easily outboxed the aggressive Marcos over the first three rounds, using his long jab to keep him at bay. Teron dropped Marcos in the fourth round with a perfectly timed left hook. In the fifth, Teron proved why his nickname is “The Truth”, dropping Marcos for the second time in the fight with a right hand. Shortly after the game Marcos arose from the knockdown, Teron jumped on him and landed a combination which forced the stoppage. Time was 2:45 and with the win, Teron wins the vacant NABO Lightweight Title.

Former New York Knicks City Dancer Eileen Olszewski 5-0-1 earned the biggest victory of her career by dethroning WIBA flyweight champion Elena “Baby Doll” Reid 19-4-5 (5 KO’s) by majority decision. Olszewski was able to outbox Reid during most of the fight, and landed numerous clean blows to the head of Reid. Reid showed the heart of a champion by never backing up and landing a few decent shots mostly to the body in what turned out to be an excellent fight. Scores were 98-92 twice and a surprising 95-95 for the tough but beautiful Reid.

Cruiserweight Jon “The Fighting Marine” Schneider 7-1-1 (5 KO’s) became a rare victim of getting robbed in his hometown when his contest with Boston police officer Tyrone Smith 5-5-2 (2 KO’s) was ruled a draw. After a lackluster first round where Schneider outboxed Smith, the former Marine began using his usual aggression to push back Smith in controlling the second and third round. Smith was able to land a few decent shots in the fourth while opening up a cut on what appeared to be the back of Schneider’s ear.

Schneider wiped off the blood and momentarily had Smith out on his feet before the twelve fight veteran was able to clinch and make it out of the fifth. Smith outworked a tired Schneider, who was fighting past the fourth round for the first time in his career. Scores were 58-56 and 57-57 twice although Schneider appeared to have a clear victory in the fight. After the fight, Lou Delvalle nearly had to be restrained as he was furious with one of the judges and began shouting at him.

“I am very upset with the scorecards and feel its personal”, said Schneider’s new trainer, Former WBA light heavyweight champion Lou Delvalle. “One of the judges tonight (Luis Rivera who scored the contest a draw) has a past history with me. Rivera screwed me in my title fight against Virgil Hill in 1996 and Schneider was robbed tonight”.

In the opening bout, Osvaldo Rivera 0-0-1 drew with Garri Bagdasarov 0-0-1. Both fighters had their brief moments as the aggressor but neither did enough to convince the judges. Scores were 40-36 Rivera, 39-37 Bagdasarov, and 38-38.

WELTERWEIGHT PROSPECT NICK CASAL INTERVIEW

Interview With Nick Casal

NICK CASAL INTERVIEW

By Matt Yanofsky

I had the opportunity to sit down with junior welterweight prospect and crowd pleaser Nick Casal 16-2 (12 KO’s). Casal hopes to get back in the win column this Saturday on the Israel Vazquez Rafael Marquez undercard. Casal, who fell after short in two of his last three fights, will be taking on James Wayka.

MY: Nick what’s up? In your last fight you fell short in a thriller with Antonio Demarco which was televised on Showtime. Reflect back on that fight

NC: I thought it was a close fight and after watching it on tape I felt it went my way or it was a draw. The cut on my nose and the blood may have hurt me on the scorecards, but the fight definitely didn’t hurt my marketability since it was such a good fight.

MY: Your opponent tomorrow is James Wayka. Wayka has fought recently at junior middleweight and I understand your meeting him at a catch weight of 143 lbs. Are you worried that he may miss weight and that even if he makes weight, he will be much bigger then you on fight night?

NC: I am not too worried about it because I fought at 156 lbs in the amateurs. As long as he comes close to making the weight it’s cool with me.

MY: You have been out of the ring for six months since your war with Demarco. With extra time between bouts, have you made any changes in your training if so, what did you change?

NC: I work on a lot more defense now slipping, bobbing and weaving. I have also improved on my body punching, while tuning up on everything else.

MY: Your last 9 fights have been fought at 137 lbs or below and on Saturday you will be competing at 143 lbs. Did you have trouble making 135 or are you moving up because it is not a major fight in addition to compensating your naturally bigger opponent?

ND: It’s really a little bit of both but making 135 has gotten harder. My knockout ratio was better when I fought at 140 earlier in my career plus Im stronger so I’ll most likely stay at 140.

MY: If you are victorious, what is your plan for the future?

ND: Hopefully I can win a regional title by the end of the year and in 2009 my goal is to win a world title at junior welterweight.

MY: You are fighting on the undercard of what may produce the fight of the year in the main event. Does being put on a big card mean anything to you?

ND: It does since I am used to fighting on the Showbox cards. This means a lot to be since there will be a big crowd and plenty of people are going to be watching.

MY: Who are you picking to win in the main event, Vazquez or Marquez?

ND: I’ll go with Vazquez since I think he is a better fighter and has the confidence riding off his last victory.

MY: Nick, best of luck Saturday! What do you have to say in closing to your fans and the readers out there?

ND: Thanks to all my fans that have supported me during my career. 2008 will be a much better year and hopefully my year to shine!

Countdown to UFC 82 —-my thoughts on the big show

by bruceleesreincarnation on Thu Feb 28, 2008 10:25 pm

Well it’s almost time for one of the biggest nights of fights we may ever see….for another month or two. No, seriously this main event is HUGGGEEEE. And this was a pretty good Countdown show which I watched last night on Spike and watched again tonight on MTV 2. The first thing that stands out about the show (cause i just saw the second half tonight) is Heath Herring has a new training camp. Granted, that probably wouldn’t be the first thing to stick out if I hadn’t watched only the last half tonight cause I’ll have to go into my memory bank, not just my real short term memory bank, to recall the rest of the show. However, Herring does have a new training camp and he said he learned a big lesson from not jumping on top of Nogeira and finishing him when he knocked him down with that kick.

Truthfully, he probably wouldn’t have finished him anyway….no one ever has, so maybe he just saved himself even further disappointment by really really trying to finish him and failing. Maybe not…..

So I see Herring’s new dietician making him a nice big pink healthshake and Herring all excited cause he “never really paid much attention to his diet b’fore” and I’m thinking…this is cool. He’s in the UFC now, got some new coaches, eating better….this could be good for him. Then I see the Cheick Kongo part of the show and he’s delivering leg kicks to a bag that would no joke….break a man in half. And so I realize that it doesn’t matter that Herring has swapped his biggie fries for just a large; he’s gonna get killed. Seriously.

Cheick Kongo is training with Roberto what’s-his-name (too late to look it up)….the dude that trains Rampage and now Bisping. They show a clip of Rampage making fun of Cheick Kongo’s French accent…and Roberto what’s-his-name says, “yeah they like to have alot of fun here. And I’ve learned to let that go a little just to loosen up the ties a bit. But then I tighten things up and batten down the hatches when it’s time.” Which leads me to think he puts them dudes through HELL! No FOR REAL. I’ve heard that dude talk about The Will of God and God’s Plan on Earth or some shit and it scared me. And he’s got these crazy eyes with a thousand yard stare. He’s a scary looking little dude if you really pay attention. I bet he’s like a little Hitler. Especially if that short little dude can boss around a big black French guy like Kongo. I’m giving this bout to Kongo all the way!!!

Also on the countdown of course they showed Dan Henderson training and also Anderson Silva because well, because they’re fighting on Saturday so they have to show them. And Henderson still punches hard cause I saw him hit a bag real hard. I’ve also seen the pics of him sleeping in one of those Michael Jackson type oxygen tent thingies up at Big Bear. Which makes me wonder now….how many damn training facilities are up at Big Bear? Or is he schmoozing with Tito?

Oh well…it doesn’t really matter. I have bet on this main event in two different Fantasy Leagues and in them both I have picked Anderson Silva to win by KO (or TKO) in the first round. I think Hendo is gonna try to stand and bang from what he’s saying. And I think Anderson Silva is gonna make him go night-night ala Rich Franklin-style. Just remember who told ya first.

Peter arrives in Cancun vows to electrify heavyweights

“I am going to bring excitement back to the heavyweight championship”…

DUVA BOXING’S SAMUEL “THE NIGERIAN NIGHTMARE” PETER ARRIVES IN BEAUTIFUL CANCUN FOR CLASH AGAINST OLEG MASKAEV

***HBO World Championship Boxing Will Televise WBC Heavyweight Title Match***

CANCUN, Mexico, February 27—WBC Interim Heavyweight Champion Samuel Peter continues his “best training camp ever” arriving in beautiful Cancun, Mexico, for his March 8 HBO date against WBC kingpin Oleg Maskaev.

The “Nigerian Nightmare” described his preparation “as the most serious ever,” arriving from Las Vegas two weeks ahead of the fight date. New head trainer, Stacey McGinley, joins Pops Anderson, and a world class conditioning group of conditioning trainers and nutritionists.

“I’ve been waiting for Oleg Maskaev to get into the ring with me for a year and a half,” said Peter, reflecting back to his September 2, 2006 triumph over James Toney which set the stage for the clash with Maskaev. “Not only am I going to knock him out, but I will punish him for the long wait. On March 8, he is going to feel like he is getting two years worth of physical punishment. I’m going to bring excitement back to the heavyweight championship.”

Dino Duva, president of Duva Boxing and Peter’s promoter, added that “Sam has something serious to prove on March 8. It was troubling watching Wladimir Klitschko, who by the way was knocked down three times by Samuel when they met three years ago. Klitschko dogged it in all 12 rounds last weekend in a so-called ‘Unification Fight.’ Now, the world is aching for Samuel Peter to surge to the forefront of the heavyweight division. Unfortunately for Maskaev, he is going to be the victim of Sam’s wrath. Sam Peter’s time has come as the savior of the heavyweight division.”

The Peter-Maskaev clash will be the first world heavyweight championship ever held in Mexico will take place in Cancun’s Plaza de Torros.

The two had been scheduled to meet in New York ’s Madison Square Garden on Oct. 6, but a back injury forced Maskaev to pull out of the fight on Sept. 21.

The WBC Board of Governors convened on Sept. 24 and voted Peter its interim heavyweight champion. Peter chose to make a title defense on Oct. 6, winning a unanimous decision over Jameel “Big Time” McCline.

A tremendous co-featured main event will showcase a second world championship when undefeated World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization lightweight champion Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz (33-0, 17 KOs), from Houston, Tex., takes on IBF No. 1-ranked mandatory challenger Nate “Galaxxy Warrior” Campbell (31-5-1, 25 KOs), from Jacksonville, Fla.

Tickets priced at $1,000, 500, $300, $150, $100, $70, $50 and $10 are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster in Mexico at +5255 5325 9000.

Both fights will be televised live in America on HBO World Championship Boxing beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT. “History in Cancun ” is being promoted by Don King Productions in association with Duva Boxing, Pepe Gomez Promotions and One Punch Productions.

Maskaev (34-5, 26 KOs), from Kazakhstan and a U.S. citizen since 2004 with homes in Staten Island, N.Y., and West Sacramento, Calif., is riding a 12-fight winning streak that includes a 12th-round technical knockout over Hasim “The Rock” Rahman to win the WBC heavyweight crown in Las Vegas on Aug. 12, 2006.

Peter has now honed his boxing skills to the extent he beat Old School boxing master James “Lights Out” Toney in back-to-back appearances on Sept. 2, 2006, and Jan. 6, 2007—both on 12-round decisions. Those victories made Peter the WBC No. 1-ranked heavyweight and the mandatory challenger to Maskaev. After Maskaev pulled out of their scheduled October 6 title match, Peter was named WBC Interim champion.

Peter survived a scare from McCline, who agreed to face the Nigerian just two weeks prior to their Oct. 6 meeting as a replacement for Maskaev. McCline has a history of being dangerous early, having knocked out heavyweight contender Michael Grant in just 43 seconds and dropped then International Boxing Federation champion Chris Byrd early in the second round when they met in 2004.

Dino Duva, the president of Duva Boxing, has promoted great fighters and great fights during four decades in boxing. Growing up in a renowned boxing family, the Duva name has become synonymous with excellence in the fight game as the “First Family in Boxing.” Working closely with his Hall of Fame father, Lou, and his late, great brother Dan, Duva has been involved in the promotion of over 100 world championship fights including such titlists as Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Pernell Whitaker, Arturo Gatti, and Mark Breland. Duva is presently the promoter of Samuel Peter, regarded by many as the top young heavyweight in boxing.

GoFightLive TO HOST 2ND “WORLD FIGHT NIGHT,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6TH!

Posted on | February 28, 2008 | No Comments

WEBCAST LIVE FROM THE GRAND BALLROOM AT THE MANHATTAN CENTER –

IN NEW YORK CITY – ON www.GoFightLive.tv

New York, NY (February 28, 2008) – Go Fight Live is offering its second live boxing webcast of 2008, Wednesday, March 6, starting at 7:30 PM (EST) on www.GoFightLive.tv

Bronx, NY – Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing presents yet another exciting night of boxing, March 6th at The Grand Ballroom at The Manhattan Center, and once again GoFightLive’s “World Fight Night” will be there to cover all the action! The all-star card will present fight-fans with a rare opportunity to watch two of Star Boxing’s more popular fighters, when “Mighty” Mike Arnaoutis (17-2, 9 KO’s), the Pride of Greece, collides with Dominican power-puncher, Harrison Cuello (15-5, 11 KO’s), in a 140-pound contest for the vacant USBA Junior Welterweight Title. As an added attraction, fan-favorite Vinny Maddalone (28-4, 20 KO’s) once again steps through the ropes, squaring off against tough Ohio veteran Jeff Yeoman (21-8, 8 KO’s) in an 8-round heavyweight battle.

Co-Main Event – Mike Aranoutis (17-2, 9 KO’s) vs. Harrison Cuello (15-5, 11 KO’s) 12-Rds. USBA Jr-Welter. Title “Mighty” Mike looks to bounce back into the win column after two straight tough defeats one of which was a highly controversial split decision loss to Ricardo Torres for the then vacant WBO Jr. Welterweight crown on November 18, 2006. Arnaoutis dropped Torres in the seventh round of that fight and to almost all ringside viewers looked to capture the WBO title, but was denied due to very questionable scoring. In his last bout on April 20,2007, “Mighty Mike” took on the challenge of highly regarded Kendall Holt, a bout for the number 1 ranking in the WBO and the right to fight a rematch with Ricardo Torres. Arnaoutis trained and fought without long time trainer Bill Johnson in his corner and the results were evident as Mike was unable to figure out the elusive style of Holt, losing a unanimous 12 round decision. Now reunited with Johnson, “Mighty Mike” looks to add the USBA belt as he takes on the hungry Dominican puncher, Harrison Cuello.

Harrison Cuello is a very dangerous opponent because he brings 1 punch knockout power into the ring with him. On June 20th, 2007, Cuello stepped into the ring with top prospect Edgar Santana, who was riding a 5 year, 16 fight win streak into the fight. One devastating punch from Cuello in the 3rd round ended all that. Cuello is a very exciting fighter who cannot be taken lightly.

Co-Main Event – Vinny Maddalone (28-4, 20 KO’s) vs. Jeff Yeoman (21-8, 8 KO’s) – 8-Rds. Heavyweights
Fight fans in attendance at the Manhattan Center on the night of March 6th will also be treated to a heavyweight battle with the exciting Vinny “The Heavyweight Highlight Film” Maddalone in the co-main event of the evening. Having been in the ring with the legendary Evander Holyfield and cherished by fans and boxing experts for his wars with Brian Minto, Maddalone is certain to give the fans what they have come to expect, excitement, blood and guts!

On the Undercard

8 – Round Middleweight Attraction – Curtis Stevens (17-2-1, 12 KO’s) vs Thomas Reid (35-21-1, 13 KO’s)

Curtis Stevens is a throwback to the old days of boxing with his killer left hook and crippling body punching. Curtis presents a danger to anyone who stands opposite him in the squared circle. On this occasion, it will be journeyman, Thomas Reid of Jackson, TN, who in his own right is not to be taken lightly. Stevens will have his hands full as he will be facing a fighter who has gone up against some of the best in the business. Taking on a who’s who of the 175-pound realm, Reid has fought the likes of former WBC light heavyweight champion and Roy Jones Jr. conqueror Montell Griffin, WBO 175-pound titlist Julio Gonzalez, and light heavyweight contenders Elvir Muriqi, Yusaf Mack, and Prince Badi Ajamu.

Heavyweights – 4 Rounds
Tim Skolnick (Pro Debut) vs Shawn McClean (2-1, 1 KO) 4 Rds. – Heavyweights

Welterweights – 4 Rounds
Raymond Serrano Jr. (3-0, 2 KO’s) vs Abe Bruno (6-10-4, 3 KO’s)

DAVID DIAZ ON COLLISION COURSE WITH MANNY PACQUIAO

Posted on | February 28, 2008 | No Comments

Chicago, IL (February 27, 2008) Chicago based World Boxing Council Lightweight Champion David Diaz is busy preparing to battle Ramon Montano on Saturday, March 15th at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

The Diaz/Montano bout will be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View on the undercard of UNFINISHED BUSINESS, featuring the rematch of the epic battle almost four years ago between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.

However, the collision course has been set for Diaz by his promoter, Top Rank Inc., to square off with boxing’s “Mexicutioner,” Manny Pacquiao later this year.

“I know the deal, if I beat Montano and Manny beats Marquez he’s going to move up to 135 to try and take my title. Good for him, I like the fact that he wants to fight for my title. If we both win on March 15th, I’ll be the first one to meet him at the post fight press conference to welcome him to 135. As far as I’m concerned they can officially announce the fight right then and there.”

“He wants to move up and try to continue collecting belts and I want to test myself against the very best and that’s what they call him. He beat Barrera twice, Morales twice, already has the draw with Marquez, beat Velasquez, Larios and Solis. He’s been on quite a run, if he beats Marquez on March 15th, maybe he’s the best fighter in boxing.”

Speaking about his bout with Montano, Diaz called it a priority first and foremost for him. “I’m sure Montano is preparing for the fight of his life, it’s his opportunity of a lifetime. As for me, when we touch gloves before the fight we’re going to do what we do and see who’s the better fighter. Bottom line is I know I must beat Montano to get a shot at Pacquiao.”

In regards to having the last seven months off since his win over Morales last August, Diaz said “The rest has been good, but I’m chomping at the bit here in Chicago . The cold weather and the snow we’ve had recently is both aggravating me and keeping me focused on Montano and March 15th.”

About his beloved Chicago Cubs who are in training camp in Mesa , Arizona , Diaz added, “I know a few of them want to come in for the fight. They were there when I beat Morales and at my other fights in Chicago . We’re in this together and they’re always welcome.”

The fistic debate about which fighter is the best finally will be settled when World Boxing Council (WBC) super featherweight champion JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ defends his title against three-division world champion MANNY PACQUIAO in a 12-round battle for pound-for-pound supremacy. Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, in association with Romanza Boxing Productions and MP Promotions, Marquez-Pacquiao II will take place Saturday, March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Tickets for Marquez-Pacquiao II,priced at $600, $400, $300, $200 and $100, are on sale at the Mandalay Bay box office and at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers, Macy’s West at the Fashion Show Mall, and Ritmo Latino). Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster at (702) 474-4000 or Mandalay Bay (702) 632-7580. Tickets are also available for purchase at www.mandalaybay.com or www.ticketmaster.com
